Query on an obscure word

Can anyone identify for me the place "Champmedy" in the third from last line of Stephen Vincent BenĂ©t's poem American Names, namely (so to speak), "You may bury my tongue at Champmedy"?

This reference suggests it's the site of a battle in France in World War I. Where in France? Further research is needed.

Thanks. I also saw that, but I've found nothing else on the topic.
