A Tongue Fit To Betide the Times

Lucy of the Lounge, Photo of Richard Perry's Photo for the NYT

Gene Simmons proves he can play not only music but also baseball by stealing home on a sacrifice single, much to the catcher's disgust as he retches his guts out while Simmons ramps up the antics for fanatics, breaking into song and dance and prancing away from the plate with the apparent intention of blowing the raving crowd a totally wild French kiss!

The picture is too funny! A lot of people in my neck of the woods were overjoyed with the Royals winning the World Series. The Royals AA farm club is in Springdale, AR, less than 10 miles from our house, so we have gotten to see a lot of the current Royals come through. The Cardinals will always be my number one team, but I am happy to see the Royals have success as well. You do know the Royals are owned by David Glass who was the President and CEO of Walmart for many years.

The Royals? You're flirting with apostasy! I advise you re-listen to an old Harry Caray spiel and remain solidly in the faith.

Remember, "Be loyal, not a Royal!"
