Not a Tiny Tom Turkey
Guineas, Guineas
Guineas are really odd creatures,as speckled as the great speckled bird, but they don't share that other's great features.Fact is, they look rather absurd.A tad smaller in size than a chicken, and its head, just a bit turkey-like,it can fly since it never does thicken, but keeps itself young as a tyke.

Researching "turkey vs. guinea fowl" takes one down a complicated rabbit hole (which includes questions about whether to capitalize "Guinea" and whether to write the term as "guineafowl" or "guinea fowl").
I started down that hole, but recalled that I have a finite life accorded me and quickly stopped and got out of the hole and finished the poem.
