Extra Perturbations

Pound's Orthographic Perturbations

To Extra Pound, that word disturbed,
that weird word massedurbation,
which reached his inner ear, where curbed,
like the misspelled misterbation!

Much better were the made-up word
that he called disturbation,
and made-believe he'd never heard
of a word like masterbation.

Isn't it Dickens's Oliver Twist that features a young Master Bates?

I thought that was Swift. Near the beginning of Gulliver Unravels, or some such tale . . .

Hello! I was wondering if I could get your email address and ask you more details about homeschooling in Korea? We are currently living in Tokyo and might move back to Korea in the future.
I am currently homeschooling my children and want to continue, they are half Korean.
Do you still homeschool your children? I read it from your old post about homeschooling.

I look forward hearing from you.

Actually, I failed in my homeschooling attempt. I lacked time and energy to carry on.

Since you've been homeschooling in Japan (successfully, I take it), you could probably carry the burden of homeschooling in Korea.

I don't have any advice, really. I can say that the Korean authorities put up no barriers. I assume they are still cooperative.
