Anonymous Spider Poem?

An underdog named "Wonderdog" posted an anonymous poem on "What's the Rumpus?" yesterday:

The Spider

He took no heed of me upon my writing table,
creeping assiduously along as best as he was able.
I stayed my hand and killed him not in tribute to his defiance,
his nonchalance, his aplomb, in strolling among giants.

This poem is so anonymous that I don't find it anywhere else on the web. Methinks the pseudonymous Wonderdog himself might have written it. Yet ... it sounds familiar, like something that William Carlos Williams might have written.

Does anybody recognize it?
