An Unbearable Blight Upon Being!

Might a steer steer a steer?

Steers, Steers

Steers are doubtless disappointed creatures.
They sense something missing, but don't know why,
as if one or two essential features
were gone and left them living out a lie.

But life goes on and on, until it stops,
some predetermined time if you're a steer.
A heavy hammer blow, and one then drops.
One thought control to steer? Not even near.

These were some of the facts of life I learned in my eighth grade math class. I also learned that there were a certain number of insect parts per pound of flour, or somesuch.

Was your first line a reference to the famous "Buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo" sentence? (Or, for that matter, to the "Police police police police police" sentence?)

They sell cricket flour these days, so perhaps we can think in terms of "X amount of flour per pound of insect parts."

Yes to everything, as per your pomo piece on your blog a couple of days ago - everything always already repeats everything all the time.
