Limerick, Too

Pound this Proud One

There once was a fellow named "Pound,"
Who preferred that imperial sound,
For a sixteen-ounce surname
Makes four-fifty-gram sure fame,
If it's big as all that, I have found.

Bravo!

Has anyone before written like this on Pound?

In every metrical foot I hear an encomium! In every rhyme a bravura! In every image I am blinded by irony! Verily, your inviolable invocation of Pound absolutely drools metaphysics, for which I enjoy a great and intemperate thirst!

This is like the BBB all over again.

I've never seen this done to Pound before.
