Two More from Crystal Bridges

Cousin Bill sent two photos of Sun-Ae and me at Crystal Bridges Museum. This first one was taken when he called to us from across the room:

Do any readers recognize the painting we'd been looking at? If so, let everyone know in a comment. Next is a more posed and poised picture:

Hmmm . . . I do believe I'm losing weight on this vacation. I guess I need to eat more . . .

That's the Radiator Building, by Georgia O'Keefe. O'Keefe was inexorably drawn to buildings named for common household objects. 1927 also saw her painting "Dawn over the Waffle-Iron Building", "Winter at the Rugbeater Tower" and "Encountering the Nose Hair Clipper Building."

I just knew that the Nose Hair Clipper Building at the Noble NoZe Brothers' Barber College of Knowledge must've had an aesthetic effect upon some artist or other back when the club's spelling was still "Nose."

Figured you'd be gaining weight on this visit (good Southern country cooking) ...and I recall a big ice cream thingy being consumed (wolfed down) within an hour after dining at Crystal Bridges' Eleven Restaurant. Whoops, guess Sun-Ae did get a couple of bites...so there's the reason for your weight loss!
Once again, we enjoyed the visit.

We enjoyed the visit, too, especially in meeting your lovely wife, and we hope to make a trip again in another short decade or two!
