The Muse
I sometimes catch myself staring at this computer keyboard, wondering, "What is this alien device?" I then realize it's a keyboard, and I say, "I must be a musician!" And I compose a poem to prove it, which proves nothing since a poem is not a song, is it?

I wanted to make a "well-tempered Klavier" joke based on a Klavier/keyboard pun, but the German word for "keyboard," I discovered, is Tastatur; a Klavier is specifically a piano. It's only in French that clavier means, generically, "keyboard"... and now, having over-explained everything, I fear it's too late to speak humorously of a well-tempered clavier.
So long as one is yet among the well-humored men of good temperament, the time is never too late to speak posthumously about anything.
