Poetry Break: Weak Power of Words
As we gain insight into language, we come to recognize its intrinsic ambiguity
Or vice-versa . . . but if we adopt a hermeneutic of suspicion, we'll know which way to read . . . until our hermeneutic of suspicion spirals inward upon itself, questioning turtles all the way down . . .Sounding Words"Have a nice day" might be "Have an ice day."
Is "multiguity" a word? "Megaguity"? I'm looking for a word that means more than "ambiguity."

I can't listen to the local news station's weather reports without hearing from some "meaty urologist".
The traffic reports, too, seem always to be telling me that a broken-down vehicle is "blocking Elaine".
The phenomenon you refer to here, though, is called "metanalysis". It's how "a napron" became "an apron".
Thanks for the term "metanalysis" - we also see it in how "a nadder" became "an adder."
