Lost Nomad Truly Lost

Sunday, October 16, 2005: The Lost Nomad being ferried by Charon across the glowing, smoking River Styx to the Underworld, fit retribution for fishing on a Sunday morning.

So long, Nomad, and thanks for all the fish.

No fishing on a Sunday morning for me...you know where I am every Sunday. Matter of fact I started attending the 9 o'clock Bible study hosted by Marty. I can't believe you don't like that picture...maybe it's something only a true fisherman can appreciate.
Are you ever planning on coming back to visit us rubes down here?

So, you waited until I had left to attend the 9:00 a.m. Bible study? Good choice. Marty's a better teacher than I ever was.

As for the photo, I do like it -- any further photos from hell will be appreciated.

Will I ever visit you rubes? Sure . . . when hell freezes over.

Heh...so that means you should be coming down sometime within the next few months then. Surely that sewer, I mean stream they have running through hell - oops, I mean Seoul, will be frozen over soon.
As for the Bible study, I found it's better to go to the 9 a.m. on Sunday vs. the 7 p.m. on Wednesday. On Sunday, at least, I know we'll be done by 10:15 so we can go attend service. On Wednesdays, they're more prone to complain about work and coworkers than they are to stick to the subject which can make for longer (and less interesting) sessions.

As I recall, Songtan Central Baptist Church was built right on the mouth of Hell and is always threatening to be engulfed when the Hell's storms raise Songtan's water level.

That's why I moved the 9:00 a.m. Bible study from the basement up to the fifth floor, to escape damnation's dampness.

But I don't expect that underlying Hell to freeze over anytime soon. I never saw any ice pushing through the cracks in the basement floor while I was there.

It was pretty damp cold, though.

One is hard-pressed to find blog posts that successfully gene-splice Greek mythology with Douglas Adams references. Hats off to you, Jeff.

Kevin, you're up early! But you have to get up pretty early in the morning to catch me.

Good on you, mate, for catching the Douglas Adams allusion.

I guess the Greek mythology was obvious enough, but don't neglect the Judeo-Christian overtones.
