That beer looks pretty lite! Happy New Year to you and your family as well. We are 11 hours and 50 minutes away from the celebration in the Ozarks. Unfortunately my wife in on-call for her clinic until 7:00am New Year's Day, so little to no celebrating for us this evening. I will try to match your one beer at some point though. :)

& my best for all ya'll who I occasion to occasionally (sorta) catch up on how ya'll are doing here.

[Jay? Having - and having had - many acquaintances with people who work medical stuff on New Year's Eve, you might find celebrating the newest year more fun than it would have been the 24 hours prior.

All sorts of absolutely ridiculous (providing the mishaps weren't fatal) tend to happen. Makes the put off celebration more the merrier 'cause you'll have hilarity.]

Give my best to the family Jeff. You too.

HD - This is Jay N. formerly from Horseshoe Bend. I am pretty sure your Dad was my doc oh so many moons ago. You are correct about the stories though. Most would believe they are made up! Just remember - If anyone asks if you had a good time at your NYE party, just say "Does a one legged duck swim in a circle?".......

Yeah Jay, I've known it was you for some time. Alas ordinarily I use a moniker on most sites - you'd know why if Ol' Buddy Jeffers here hadn't heard from you (posting comments) but meantime - remembered some "funny story" featuring YOU.

(If you doubt it, google my name. Last I looked it was top-of-the-charts.)

Still. Although Jeff's old post left me abit chagrined, turned out to be all in all - for the very best! If Jeff has your address ask him to send his Gypsy the Godfather to you.

I am however (and am likely to remain so) very very happy, video cameras weren't at all common some few decades ago.

Your Mom sent me letters about a decade back or so - had to do with a writer's retreat in Eureka Springs, Dairy ****** (*s 'cause I don't wish to create "confusion" should any "real writers" show up with me being there at the same time).

Thank you very much for your NYE reminisce - for some reason it's difficult for me to remember much from many of my parties. Unless there was a Court date a few weeks later.

Jay, yeah that beer was one I won't identify, but it was at least on tap and strongly carbonated and the only non-Korean beer available.

A special Happy New Year to you, HD.

My New Year's Resolution is: Don't believe every story you hear in a small town.

With an addendum: Even if you do believe the story, don't go posting it on the internet -- not even if it's a great story and happened a long time ago.

I'm glad that post turned out to have at least one positive result . . .
